{"id":5882,"date":"2025-05-21T09:22:41","date_gmt":"2025-05-21T13:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clearit.ca\/canadian-customs-broker-blog\/?p=5882"},"modified":"2025-05-21T09:24:24","modified_gmt":"2025-05-21T13:24:24","slug":"action-required-your-shipments-could-be-delayed-without-this-step","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clearit.ca\/canadian-customs-broker-blog\/action-required-your-shipments-could-be-delayed-without-this-step\/","title":{"rendered":"Action Required: Your Shipments Could Be Delayed Without This Step"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has implemented new rules under the CARM (CBSA Assessment and Revenue Management) program. <strong>In order for your commercial shipments to be released without delays, you must be enrolled in the RPP (Release Prior to Payment) program via the CARM Client Portal.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>What happens if you don\u2019t enroll?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong> Your shipments will be <strong>held at the border<\/strong> until duties and taxes are paid <strong>in advance<\/strong>\u2014causing costly and unnecessary delays.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0201;\">**Please note this is for commercial importers only.
