With most of these parcels destined as gifts for family and friends, the CBSA would like to give you a few tips when sending holiday mail.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before sending a Package <em>into<\/em> Canada, please take note of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 16px;\">parcels must include<em> declaration form<\/em> indicating sender and recipient\u00a0address\u00a0as well a description of goods &amp; value<\/span><\/li>\n<li>CBSA will inspect parcels to ensure admissibility as well as confirm <em>duty &amp; taxable<\/em> amounts<\/li>\n<li>gifts valued at $60.00 CAD or less can enter the country <em>Duty &amp; tax free<\/em> &#8211; those valued at more then $60.00 will have applicable duties and tax on the amount above $60.00 CAD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The<em> CBSA<\/em> would also like to remind senders and receivers alike that although holiday spirit is in the air, prohibited goods to not get a pass over the holiday season.
